  8. Dive is an application developed specifically for SCUBA
  9. divers who wish to keep detailed information about their
  10. diving. Four main categories of data is catered for:
  11.  
  12.   * Dive sites
  13.   * Dive log information
  14.   * Equipment
  15.   * Contacts
  16.  
  17. Dive also has the ability to store information for more
  18. than just a single diver. In other words, the same program
  19. can be used to maintain information for a number of
  20. people. Log, equipment and contacts information for each
  21. diver is kept separate, but dive site information is
  22. available to all users.

  24. Other key features include:

  26.   * The dive log allows a user to enter profile information
  27.     which is plotted graphically.
  28.   * Report to remind of equipment overdue for service.
  29.   * Ability to store graphical images in the database.
  30.   * Detailed and summary reports for all data, with full
  31.     print preview.
  32.   * Automatic calculation of dive times and average air
  33.     consumption rates.

  36. Requirements
  37. ------------
  38.   Dive requires Windows 95 or Windows NT3.51 or later.
  39.   A display system capable of 256 colors or more is
  40.   recommended.

  43. Installing Dive on your computer
  44. --------------------------------
  45.   Open the Dive setup program DIVE103.EXE and follow
  46.   setup prompts.
  47.  
  48.   To remove Dive from your computer, open Control Panel,
  49.   run Add/Remove programs and select Dive from the list
  50.   of installed programs. Click OK to start the removal 
  51.   program.

  54. Distribution
  55. ------------
  56.   Dive is shareware. You are free to distribute unmodified
  57.   copies of the UNREGISTERED version, provided that you
  58.   verify that you are distributing the UNREGISTERED
  59.   version (select About from the Dive Help menu to
  60.   verify). You are hereby licensed to make as many
  61.   copies of the software and documentation as you
  62.   wish. Give exact copies of the original software
  63.   to anyone and distribute the UNREGISTERED version
  64.   of the software and documentation in it's unmodified
  65.   form via electronic means.

  68. Registering your copy of Dive
  69. -----------------------------
  70.   The registered version of Dive places no limit
  71.   on the number of records you may store in the
  72.   database. Once you have tried the software and
  73.   like it, please register by sending payment of
  74.   R100.00 directly to the author. On receipt
  75.   thereof, you will be sent instructions and a
  76.   password to register Dive in your name. There
  77.   is no need to obtain another copy of the
  78.   software.

  80.   Registered users will receive notification of
  81.   updates, which can be downloaded free of charge.

  83.   Payment must be in South African Rand drawn on
  84.   a South African bank, or you can send
  85.   international postal money orders in South
  86.   African Rand.
